LA GROLA ALLEGRINI 2019 (IGT VERONESE)
La Grola is much more than a wine: it is the symbol of the rebirth of Valpolicella. Produced in the eponymous estate located on the top of the Sant'Ambrogio hill, this wine comes from one of the most prestigious and scenic viticultural areas of the entire denomination. It is a red wine of great personality, elegance, and longevity, capable of expressing the finesse of its calcareous-volcanic terroir.
Organoleptic Profile
Appearance: Intense, dense, and brilliant ruby red.
Nose: Broad and enveloping. It opens with notes of ripe red fruits (cherry, blackberry), evolving into complex hints of tobacco, roasted coffee, and delicate nuances of medicinal herbs and black pepper.
Taste: On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied, and supported by a silky tannic texture. The acidity is well-balanced, ensuring a profound drinkability that leads to a persistent finish with balsamic undertones.
Technical Characteristics
Grape Varieties: 90% Corvina Veronese, 10% Oseleta.
Terroir: Calcareous and stony soils located at approximately 310 meters above sea level, characterized by a microclimate influenced by the proximity of Lake Garda.
Aging: Approximately 16 months in second-passage French oak barriques and an additional 10 months of maturation in the bottle.
Alcohol Content: 14% vol (average).
